Giles said that to Spike in "Restless." I ran with it. This was written during the summer after Buffy swandove off the tower but before the errr hellscape that was Season Six began (yes, "Once More With Feeling" and "Tabula Rasa" are great. The rest...no.)
I reread it to do some clean-up of grammar and craft things (not plot) with trepidation because I wrote this so early in my fanfic writing career. But I loved it and remembered how much fun it was to write. And frankly, I like my version better than what we were given in Season Six. I have a feeling no one would be living rent free and making Buffy do all the money making and all the chores in my freaking version.(Novel/75,000 words)
