Star Trek Original Series: Assorted Pairings

For all the TOS pairings that don't have their own page.

Beyond Their Ken (R)   -   It's been noted that I've never done a Scott/Chapel. There's a reason for that: I don't find the character attractive, although like McCoy he often steals the show with his wit. So it was a challenge to write something for them that didn't feel "false." To make this work, this also is a Spock/Chapel. Not my normal Chapel, although after so many stories, what does that even mean? (Novelette/10,000 words)

Communion in Dust and Sorrow (PG-13)   -   A Moment. Kirk/Saavik. Set during the three-month exile between the end of ST III and the beginning of ST IV. (Short Story/2,200 words)

Heart, We Will Forget Him (PG-13)   -   Because Rand wanted me to do one just for her. I don't know that this is what she had in mind, but she's enough of a diva not to care as long as it's her code in the pairing. Kirk/Rand. (Short Story/2,200 words)

Inconvenient Connections (R)   -   He's bonded to one woman, involved with another, but situations change. Set before and during Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. This is Spock/Chapel and Spock/Valeris, and a bit of a retcon. I had fun with this.

Last Breath (PG-13)   -   What do you say to a soul mate you forgot? Kirk/Spock. (Songfic Challenge)

Not Ready to Make Nice (R)   -   "Forgive, sounds good. Forget, I'm not sure I could. They say time heals everything. But I'm still waiting." With apologies to the Dixie Chicks, but their song, minus the political parts, says it better than I can. This is Kirk/Chapel and Spock/Uhura (hence its placement in this section) and it's a messy story. Not any kind of multiples, so if you're afraid I'll add Uhura to the three-pack: don't worry, I won't.

The Party's Over (PG-13)   -   Two friends say goodbye. Sulu/Chapel. (Short Story/2,600 words)

Search for Me (PG-13)   -   Abandoned. Alone. Angsty. It's Kirk/Spock, TMP timeframe. Written for the AAK/SA San Francisco Update 2004.

Stardust (PG-13)   -   (Sometime after "The Cage") A close call makes Pike question the way things are. (This was written before we khnew her name.) Pike/Number One. (Short Story/1,400 words)

Substitute (PG-13)   -   Because love can get messy.

That Chance We Never Had (R)   -   Goodbyes can be a chance to see what you've been missing. (Kirk/Rand butŘ©)

That Chance We Never Knew We Wanted (R)   -   This is a sequel to "That Chance We Never Had." Takes place when Chapel leaves the ship to go to med school. Things are changing.

The Untold Story--Many of Them Actually (R)   -   A death can change things. But sometimes the stories aren't what we think. Love isn't always simple. This is experimental. A longer explanation about how and why is at the start of the story. For those who've wished I'd do more Kirk/Spock, this might scratch that itch. For those who like Spock/Chapel, Kirk/Chapel, or all three, this also might be of interest.

This Can't Be Happening (R)   -   Sometimes your characters challenge you to do new things. There are certain people I've never put Chapel with. Certain people I swore never to. Chapel took exception. Dared me to write a Chekov/Chapel. She knows me too well. This ended up being as fun to write as my Flash/Wonder Woman story (which had a somewhat similar genesis). Some readers might enjoy it. Others will hate it. Whatever: it's all good.
